How to Enjoy Organic Blanched Slivered Almonds

Organic Blanched Slivered Almonds are tasty and rich in nutrients, such as vitamin E, iron, and calcium. Because these almonds are already blanched, they are easy to include in your daily meals. 

Organic Slivered Almonds go through a machine process. It heats up the nuts to prevent them from shattering and then cuts them into thin slivers. You can’t repeat this process at home because a food processor can only crush nuts, not cut them into thin long pieces.

Note that blanched and unblanched almonds are very similar in nutritional value. But blanching removes skins, which might make the nuts slightly vary in taste and present with a little bitterness. 

Ideas for Cooking with Organic Blanched Slivered Almonds

You can use organic slivered almonds in salads and sprinkle them onto oatmeal. Add them to trail mixes or granola. You can also use them when making a variety of desserts and candies.

Raw organic slivered almonds are delicious, but they taste even better when toasted. The best way to do this is to pre-heat an oven to 350F. Place some waxed paper onto a thin baking sheet and spread almond slivers in a single layer. Put them into the oven and leave for 3-4 minutes. Then, please take out the sheet, shake it up to stir the almonds, and place back into the oven for about 1-2 minutes more.  You can consider them done once the nuts are as brown as you want them to be.
